Thank you for the support you gave us during the election. During the last few years, we have gained first hand experience of some of the issues that are affecting the local area and its residents.

We were pleased with the result in the General Election in Lewisham Deptford, with the Conservatives gaining votes across the constituency. The council results were also positive in the wards across Lewisham.

However, the hard work needs to start here to ensure that the Conservatives can continue to make inroads in Lewisham and improve the lives of residents, whether that is via Lewisham Council, Westminster, Europe or through the Mayor of London.

We are already starting to see the benefits of a Conservative led government and also the mess that was left by the previous Labour regime. The policies announced since the election will benefit the residents of Lewisham with an increase in the income tax threshold by £1000. The challenge is now to ensure that we reduce the deficit, whilst ensuring that the citizen comes first, and everyone receives the best possible public services, regardless of age, sex or race.

We would be thrilled for you to get involved, whether that be by coming out with us to campaign, making a donation to the association or by joining the party. We are planning a whole host of events over the next few months around the borough and we would be delighted if you could be part of these events.
