Boris saves the day - Lewisham kills trees
While out and about in my local area Crofton Park, I noticed there were lots of dead trees in residential streets. Residents explained that the council planted new trees only to kill them days later by soaking them in weed killer.
I’ve written to the council to find out what’s going on. We'll have to see what they say, but the whole thing stinks of incompetance and is a complete waste of money.
Fortuantely Boris has saved the day, as he is planting 10,000 trees London wide and he is asking Londoners where they want the trees, you can litterally ask for a tree to be planted outside your bedroom window!
To ask Boris for a ‘living’ tree to be planted outside your home register online 10,000 ‘Street Trees’. Visit the website www. //london.gov.uk/streettrees/ for further details.
